ational Art Honor Society
The
National Art Honor Society is specifically for high school students,
for the purpose of inspiring and recognizing those students who have an
outstanding ability in art. The NAHS strives to aid members in working
toward the attainment of the highest standards in art areas, and to
bring art to the attention of the school and community.
Participation
in the NAHS is a mark of accomplishment in the school and community and
well recognized by the institutions when students apply for entry into a
college or university.
Membership in this chapter is based on art
ability, service, and character. Art Teachers will nominate students and
notify them with an invitation/letter. To be eligible for membership
selection, the candidate must:
1) Have taken Art 1 and maintained a “B” average in Art. You do not need to
be currently enrolled in art.
2) Maintain at least a B average overall academically.
3) Volunteer for various activities as decided by Ms. Patane on a yearly basis.

10th and 11th grade students- Pay $5 dues which is mandated by the
National Art Education Association. 12th grade students will need to pay
$15 to cover the cost of their honor cord.
