Baldwin, Randi - Science

Randi Baldwin

A native of Asheville/Fairview, I went to high school at AC Reynolds.  I attended Colorado State and graduated from Appalachian State in 2009 with a B.S. in Biology & Ecology and a minor in Geology.  I also swam competitively in college and plan to work with the swim team at TC Roberson.

Following college, I took an internship at Mote Marine Laboratory in Sarasota, FL in Benthic Ecology.  In 2011, I started working at Genova Diagnostics in Chromatography within the assays of FIGLU, Androgens, and Bile Acids.  I then transferred departments to Microbiology as a technician and worked within Mycology and Bacteriology.

In 2014, I began working at Invest Collegiate Imagine as a public charter school teacher and taught Biology, Earth Science, and Physics.  I accepted a position at TC Roberson in 2016 teaching Earth Science, Biology, and Physical Science within the Academy (and love it!).

My husband, who is director of Career and Technical Education (CTE) for Asheville City Schools and I have a daughter, Scotlyn, who will turn two in November, and another daughter on the way, due in December.  We also have two dogs, Felix and Fang.
