Teacher Bio
Welcome to my Classroom
Robert M. "Bob" Browning
robert.browning@bcsemail.org

My name is Mr. Browning and I am currently teaching in my 13th year at TC Roberson.  I currently teach Advanced Placement United States History.

I hold a BA in US History from Bates College (1991), an MA in US History from UNC-Greensboro (1996), and earned my Teaching certificate from UNC-Asheville in 1998.  I am also a Nationally Board Certified Teacher and was a four year member of Buncombe County Schools' Teaching American History Grant Master Teacher Corps (2004-2007).  I also have been honored to be able to participate in the annual AP test reading conducted by the College Board every June. This opportunity has providing me valuable experience with other APUS teachers across the nation.  This year marks my tenth as an Advanced Placement instructor.

I grew up in the Asheville area and love the community and the plethora of outdoor activities available here to me and my family.  Among my interests are running and competing in running races, coaching my son's soccer team, and hiking among many others.

Please feel free to browse my web site for helpful information about my classes and do not hesitate to e-mail me at the above address with questions you may have of me, my class, or your child's progress.
