PBIS Implementation

What is PBIS?

Positive Behavior Intervention and Support Programs are a way to impact the learning environments in
schools in order to support high student performance and to reduce behavioral problems.
Whole School Positive Behavior Intervention and Support is a systematic approach that establishes and reinforces clear behavioral expectations for academic and social success.

What does PBIS mean at TC Roberson?

Students are expected to BE READY, BE RESPECTFUL and BE RESPONSIBLE!

We utilize the word PRIDE to represent our behavior expectations for students…

P= Personal Responsibility                 “take ownership of your actions

R= Respect                             “be considerate to yourself and surroundings”

I= Integrity                                    “be an honest, ethical person”

D= Determination                              “focus on success”

E= Excellence                                   “aim to be your best”

Students are encouraged to show Ram PRIDE in the following locations: classrooms, hallways, locker rooms, restrooms, cafeteria, bus, and extracurricular activities.

Ram PRIDE acknowledgement system:

Students who show Ram PRIDE (by demonstrating academic achievement, regular school attendance, and minimal discipline referrals) will be acknowledged for their achievements through:

  • Ram PRIDE Pass
  • Nominations for student of the month
  • Invitations to special socials
  • Eligibility for raffle and prize drawings
  • Special programs or incentives
