Principal - Bonnie Johnston

"Great teachers and principals can help to close persistent achievement gaps, improve student attitudes about school, and build habits of mind that can change a student's life trajectory."

Welcome!  After 23 years in mathematics education (my passion!), I began working in educational administration in 2006.  I became principal of Early and Middle Colleges in the fall of 2011 after 5 years as an assistant principal at TC Roberson High School.  I am delighted to be returning to TC Roberson as the principal beginning in July 2016.

My husband and I have two sons.  Hagen, who graduated from TCR in 2009, teaches social studies at AC Reynolds High School. Harrison, who graduated from TCR in 2012, is a graduate of UNC-Asheville with a music business degree.

Whether you are a student, parent, or staff member of TC Roberson High School, I encourage you to contact me if I can help you in any way. (
